Emily Sassone
My name is Emily Sassone, I am 25 years old and graduating from Deakin University with a Bachelor of Education (Primary) in 2016.
I am an enthusiastic, hardworking individual with a passion for teaching and learning. At the completion of my VCE at McKinnon Secondary College in 2009 I knew that I had a passion for teaching children and chose to attend Deakin University. During my studies my appetite for teaching and learning has grown as I immerse myself in different school communities through my practicum experiences and work with Camp Australia Outside of School Hours Care. In the middle of my studies I took time off to travel around Europe and South East Asia where I was able to enrich my life through a range of diverse cultural experiences. I love to travel, read, cook and keep a healthy lifestyle. I love being outdoors and exploring new and exciting places. Over the last four years, whilst completing my studies I chose to work in occupations that involved working with children. I believe this additional experience has allowed me to build such quick professional relationships with my students, parents and other teaching staff when presented the opportunity. I am very fortunate to have had such knowledgeable and professional mentor teachers throughout my teaching practicums. These teachers along with my desire, commitment and experience have helped shape me into the teacher that I am today. Throughout my studies and practicums I have developed the skills and knowledge to form a strong teaching philosophy. |
